Dr. Jerby shares why he left an established, successful surgical practice, to follow his passion for integrative gut health, and start
Legacy Health Integrative GI and Functional Medicine
Brian Jerby, MD
Integrative Functional Medicine Practitioner
Dr. Jerby is a devoted husband and father whose quest for "clean health" led him to establish New Legacy Farms in 2010. These natural farming practices have not only enabled him to feed his own family, but also to contribute to the health of many other families through farmer's markets and a seasonal market within his own medical office. Further study into the role of Functional and Integrative Medicine for the treatment of GI conditions has resulted in the prevention of surgery in many of his patients, and eventually led to the founding of Legacy Health Integrative GI & Functional Medicine which is dedicated to treating GI conditions at the root-cause level. Dr. Jerby's passion continues to be focused on gut health as the foundation for all of health. He especially enjoys hiking in the Blue Ridge and Smoky mountains and spending time with his family.
